Refer DOOR LOCK

"A Long time ago, in a Galexy far away..........(Well maybe April)--

I posted about putting in a smaller residential refrigerator into my '99 Dutch Star. Many of the really great posters put in a lot of great information that was really helpful. We ended up with a 10 cu ft Whirlpool that we are really enjoying.

One of the tips that was suggested was about a DOOR LOCK. It mounted to the frig. proper between the doors and swung left or right to lock or unlock. He recommended a source that had it in two length. For THICK doors or for THINNER doors. It looked great!

BUT, like a dummy I carefully wrote down the information, then promptly lost it. I have looked for the post for about 2-1/2 hours to no avain.

Does anyone remember what I am talking about; or does the OP happen to be perusing and have the info handy?

Thanks bunches guys. In my next life I'm going to have a hard drive brain and will never forget ANYTHING!

But in this one HELP!

I think this is what you are looking for.

It is Thor part #0315479. It comes in a 3" & 4" depending on the thickness of your door (same part number??). Call Tanya at Total Value RV 574-262-4460 ext 20. Part cost @ $7.50 + shipping. It is attached it to the refrigerator using the hinge screw holes provided to reverse the door swing.

Heres a little write up I did on mine. I put a couple notches in it so It would be flush when it was in the unlocked position. Also - I don't think Tanya works there any more.:

On my Jenn Air double door unit I had a friend cut a wide kerf in a scrap of plywood back in 2015 with the idea of making something nicer when we got home. Still using it.
