Refrigerator Ice"s up

I have a 2005 Fleetwood Pace Arrow and I took it in to my local fleetwood dealer to have my refrigerator checked out, because it ice's up and I have air coming out the side of it. I have the extended warranty on the home and they told me that the glue let lose between the shell and the unit, which the warranty company said they do not cover glue that breaks down. Has any one come across this and if so what is the fix? Is it fixable without replacing the whole unit.

Thanks
Don

If you're a DIY type person, you could remove the frig, replace the insulation or spray it in, (use low expansion type) or use spray glue to stick things together again. It also helps reduce frost build up with a small fan in the freezer compartment. If you price a new refrigerator, you'll get handy fast.

Good time to upgrade the fridge in my book... Sounds to me like some kind of bad install job as the glue should never let loose like that...

The recommendation to see if you can re-seal is good too.

one thought.. When it's clean, dry and warm,, Once you re-seal it, you might cover the joint (externally where it can't be seen) with Gorilla tape.. This is kind of a "Super Duct Tape" sticks like no tomorrow. About the only thing sticker is Eternabond.

What brand, Norcold, Dometic? Don't bother with your dealer, phone the mfgr directly, describe the conditions, what your dealer said, and what you want done. You might be surprised with the result. Their customer service department exists for one reason, customer satisfaction-for repeat business. I had an exhaust fan fail in our Dometic microwave, phoned the company, and the man went out of his way (long story short) to remove the fan from a dented unit, mailed it to me at no cost.

What warranty company did you use? Saying that glue failure is not covered is not acceptable. If others knew which company did this then they could decide whether they wanted to give them the business.
