we want to remove our sofa sleeper and put in a day bed. the sofa has a motor that is hard wired to the coach. do we just cut the wires and put wire nuts on them? is there a market for used sofa sleeper?

What does the motor do? Is it 12 volt or 120 volt?

If it was me doing this, I would find the fuse for the motor and remove it. Then I would double check that the wires at the motor are truly dead. Then depending on the placement of the wire either remove the wire from the motor and cap them or cut it and cap it, or remove it entirely. If it is 120 volts wire, make sure you terminate it inside a secure approved electrical box. Plan on what would happen if someone was to reinstall the fuse. Is everything and everyone protected? Make sure the wire is located where nobody can accidental disturb it either now or in the future.
