DriVer.....I read your link and got a little lost in the amplifier issue. I tossed my switchbox years ago with the amplifier built in. Does the Jack antenna come with it's own amp?

As a side note: On my coach, there is an antenna up light on the dash that tells me when the Winegard crank up antenna is up. Since I don't use that antenna anymore, I tapped into the wire that indicates the antenna is up and connected it to my Winegard TravLer sat dish with a couple of contact switches. My dash light now tells me if the sat is up.

did the light stay on if the antennae was up? or did it just come on for a set time to remind you and then go out.

Monaco uses a ball bearing switch (ball bearing rolls and makes contact when antenna is up) on the crank up antenna that will illuminate the dash light while the key is on and the antenna is up. It won't go out until the antenna is lowered.

I added a magnetic reed swicth to the edge of my satellite dish and then mounted the other half of the switch to a bracket that aligns with the dish when it's down.
