Removed Dinette booth, installed credenza, table and chairs

We have removed the dinette booth and installed a custom made (by hubby) credenza with 3 drawers on each side. We used the existing table, but recovered it with different Formica. Purchased chairs at the Habitat for Humanity Restore....painted them black to match the paint on the drawers. The table top will pull out an additional 15 inches. We have not had the opportunity to actually use it yet, but I sure do love the way it looks!!!

I attached a few pictures...one is of the table top pulled out. One shows the drawers on one side..both sides are the same.

Looks good, nice job. DW and I are just the opposite. When I bought the Ventana last fall, I had them put a booth in and take the credenza out.

Bill, we couldn't find them either, except to order from Fleetwood. That wasn't in our budget, so we decided to make our own and paint them black. We tried a brown first....it was not a good match, so we decided on black.

Very nice. We also prefer a table and chairs to the booth.

My goodness, you did a great job! We just took the dinette out of our Bounder 35k, kept the existing table, and bought two dining chairs. We know we want to do a credenza/cabinet and yours is perfect. It really looks amazing!

We did a similar upgrade several years ago. Used wall cabinets from Home Depots. Needed cabinets less than 13" deep for our project.

Nice looking modification. We bought our MH with a table and four chairs rather than a booth. We can sleep 4 if needed, but have seldom pulled the couch out for company. The pups are usually camped out on the couch while mamma and I sleep on the rear queen. We bought the MH for comfy living with 2 adults and 2 pups. On occasion I have crashed out on the recliner after a long day and slept there all night. I like a table and chairs for dining much better than a booth. It looks better as well. JMHO

Can you tell me where you got the mechanism for the pull out table? I want to build the exact same thing but cannot find this. I had a pull out table in our last Motorhome and loved it. Especially that there is no leg to support it.

Thanks!!

I'd also like some ideas for the pull-out table. We have a table that folds out, but it was very poorly done.

Thanks!!!

Awesome job! I am planning mine right now. I am thinking about something similar but trying to copy the FW design a little closer in that I want to remove the brace on the table and have it supported by the framing for the cabinets underneath. Did you consider that and not do it because of the strength needed to support the table?
