Removing Dinnete Booth

Has anyone removed the Dinette Booth in a 2006 Dolphin and installed a Dinning table with a wall cabinet. We are considering doing this but have not found the combination that will fit yet. Web site are limited for suggestions.

It is do able I'm working on one now where I removed the dinette and the couch in the slide and going to replace it with free standing table and chairs and a better couch. You could get one custom made.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to post an offer for a trade here or on other forums. I looked a several MH but passed because I didn't want a free standing table, I wanted a booth dinette. The the most difficult thing about swapping out a booth for table is trying to get something that will match the rest of the wood finish in your MH. It would be a coincidence to find someone nearby that wanted to trade but it wouldn't cost you anything to try.

Did this one myself. It replaced a free standing table. We needed office room and more storage. You mentioned having a cabinet so I posted this for you to see. It has drawer storage, extra kitchen storage and a computer set up plus the table.

The over hang when in traveling position is because I wanted the storage room below the table. The table slides out, has a stop on it, and the legs swing down. I lift the stop and swing the legs up to replace it for travel.

I realize not everyone can or has the capacity (tools etc) to make one, but I modeled this after a unit in a Dutch Star owned by a friend. You might get some ideas here.

Good luck with your project.

When I bought my coach it had a booth style dinette. However in the basement was a matching table and chairs. Must have been removed by original owner. I could take measurements and some pictures of the table for you if that will help. Its not the type with a wall cabinet but mounts on the wall same as current table but has an extendable leaf. Let me know if I can help. Sorry I don't want to sell mine though as at some point may want to put it back in as it matches perfectly.

I replaced my dinette last year. Removal was straight forward. Had a 31" square table made with a corian top to match kitchen counters. Looks awsome.

Bob, here is a company that may be of interest.
Home Page

Or you can go to QT's 1 & 2 item # 3 and try your hand in putting that together.

Ditto.

I picked up a used booth last year but it was from a much 'lower-end' model than ours and I'm always looking for a nicer one and they really aren't that easy to find (it's also not something you can really ship so you have to find a local one).

This is what we are doing with the seating for both of us in the HR we just bought.......May not work for everyone but after the addtion of the dog bed and some under the table storage it will work better for us than the booth and couch....
