Removing rubber mount mark from plastic dash

I applied my TPMS rubber mount to the faux wood plastic plate on my dash. When I took it off a ring was left somewhat like a mark on furniture. I tried cleaning it off with normal spray cleaner and a paper towel with little success. I don't want to use anything too harsh that might damage the plastic finish. What have you used as a mild solvent in such a situation. I thought about Goof Off if someone else has used that with success. Thanks in advance for your experience.

Tooth paste and a soft cloth might do it
