i have a 1997 vision mh. it has a 7.5 460hp motor can you tell me how too change the fan belts & where to buy them.
i had new rotors cal. & pads installed can you tell me why the brake peddle is so hard? thanks

your brake pedal is hard because you are not used to what a good brake pedal feels like most likely.O'Reilly or NAPA can help you with your fan belts,as far as putting them on,if you are clueless (and I don't mean to be rude)then you might better let someone else do it.

on the fan belts, someone said i must remove the radiator

Not correct, but you need to get fully underneath in a sitting position to get the job done, not easy. I have always been a decent mechanic, but I paid to get it done. Decided I was just too old for all that contortion

Very important to understand the belt pattern. Take pics or
draw a diagram because the belt can be installed incorrectly
but seem ok because everything is working. However it may be to loose
or the ribbed side of belt may be rolling over non ribbed pulleys. This happened to me but fortunately I noticed and corrected the problem.

That's one of the few times when it pays to be a small person(like me)like when I changed my belt, spark plugs and fuel filter.getting into some of those tight places wasn't even easy for me.

For the hard brake pedal did they need to add fluid and did they bleed the brakes? If the old brakes were worn down as pointed out earlier, you will feel a difference, but if the pedal if hard and you don't feel like you have the stopping power you should then there may be air in one of the lines

Air in the lines would give a soft spongy pedal.

Richard - after I replaced the pads and calipers on mine, the pedal was firm but I didn't have much stopping power. Our first trip out after the new pads and I had to make a quick stop. Major pucker time as I was pretty much standing on the pedal and it just wasn't slowing much. The brakes finally started developing some friction and we came to a safe stop amid smells of HOT brakes.

Ever since then the brakes have been good. Its called "bedding in" the brakes.

BTW, if they didn't flush in fresh brake fluid, you should do that too.
