Replace TV in Hurricane

I own a 2006 32 foot Hurricane motorhome and want to replace the old TV in the bedroom with a flatscreen. My problem is I can not figure out how to remove the old TV. I can not find any mounting screws on the outside of the cabinet. It looks like to me the cabinet was mounted around the TV. Anyone have any experience with a Hurricane?

I don't have a Hurricane and have only limited experience and recall regarding my father-in-law's Hurricane so I probably won't be of much help. But, most cabinets/trim pieces around tv's have a "button, snap, or plug" over the mounting screws. Pop those off if you have them. My Bounder has some "L" brackets on the inside of the framework and these can be accessed from the front, next to the tv. Some cabinet makers use pocket screws accessible from the rear. Are there any if these that you can reach from the backside, say, from inside a closet or other access panel? Hopefully someone will post some better info for you.

Not sure what model you have but I have a 2007 Hurricane 34N that I replaced both TVs last year. The rear one has a 12 x 12 inch cover hole on the left side of the closet and the same type of cover hole on the left side in the small compartment. Remove both of these and you will find that the beneath the TV is a 1/2" piece of plywood with screws in each corner. Remove the screws, unhook the cables and slide the TV out. There are screws on the bottom side of the plywood that are screwed through the bottome of the TV.

Do you not have a access panel next to the TV in the cabnet. I have an Infinity but they are made by the same folks. Mine has a access in the wardrobe next to the set and you can reach in and release the straps that hold it in place...Happy Trails..

I have a Hurricane 32r' Like said above, there are access panels on each side, one in the wardrobe and one in the cabinet on the right side. Mark the panels as to which side is up so that when you replace them it will be easier to match the screw holes. Other than that, the instructions given above are right on.
Good luck
Bob

Thanks everyone. There is an access panel in the closet and cabinet. I had seen them and should have removed them, but thought there should be screws on the bottom of the TV cabinet. But since there is a strap I should be able to lossen it and hopefully slide out the TV. Since we live in the Motorhome full time I like to plan jobs out ahead of time to keep the mess to a minumum.
