Replacement door handle

The plastic door handle used to pull the motor home door closed broke and I need to find a replacement. I've attached a picture. The mounting screws are ~5" apart. The current handle is 1.5" deep (distance sticks out from the door).

Any ideas where to get a replacement?

Thanks!

Take the broken one to an "auto parts store" or a "junk yard" to find a match.

Replacement door handle

Below is a pic of the door handle from my 02 DS. Looks very similar.

You said your screws are "about" 5 inches apart. How far are they? Mine measure 5-1/2".

Looks like the same handle. It looks closer to 5 1/2. Any ideas where I can find a replacement?

Well, mine is a 2002 Dutch Star. You could start with Newmar Parts in Nappanee. Here's the Newmar parts data: (72334 is the Newmar part number.)

72334
Vendor Part # - EBAE1-30357PL GRAB HANDLE BLK PLASTIC 13.82 EA (31 Avail.)
You could try PPL or Tweety's. Maybe a bit cheaper, but they may not even have it.

Good Luck!

Well, John, you beat me to it. Yes it looks like our 2002 DSDP 4090 handle too! In fact the whole setup right down to the screen door holder looks to be the same!

kjackson..... for your own future info, you might want to check with Jayco parts or Entegra parts.

When Jayco bought the Travel Supreme name back in,... what? '06? '07?... I don't know what might have happened to any inventory of Travel Supreme spares. Probably dumped on the secondary market, but you never know. Might be worth a call to Jayco just to see if they have any TS accessories or parts tucked away somewhere.

Thank you all for your replies. I see a lot of parts in common with TS , Monaco and Newmar. I'll order one in the morning and also have a look on the Jayco site.
