Replacement for Sharp R-820BK Microwave

I have a 2002 Fleetwood Bounder 36S with a Sharp Carousel R-820BK convection microwave oven. The LED display is on the blink. I tried some replacement parts to no avail. Further research indicates that this model is discontinued so I would rather replace it than try and continue to repair it. The current dimensions are 19.75 D x 12.1 H x 20.5 W. It has some custom mounting brackets and a front trim plate.

Has anybody replaced one of these? If so, what brand/model did you use? Is it the same outside dimensions? Did you have to use different mounting plates or trim plate?

That's sad. Its the only one that fit in our previous 5thwheel in 2007 and it was a work horse. I was just going to recommend it to my brother for his 5thwheel.
Did you see the Cuisinart CMW-200 seem to be several options on Amazon when you search the Sharp

Don't buy a WhirlPool Gold Series Microwave Convention oven combo. Very hard to program each use and noisy.

The Cuisinart CMW-200 looks very nice. However, my trim plate is 12.2 H x 20.5 W. The CMW is 12.2 H x 21.2 W. A little wider than the trim plate. I'll have to make adjustments or find a new trim plate.

Thanks!

If you already have the 820BK mounted built-in and not on a shelf then I suggest you just buy another one, there are still several retailers that have them left. My experience was that it was quite a hassle to re-engineer the RV for a different built-in. The 820BK in-wall kit must be removed and the new wall kit installed and the openings won't match so you will be into wood work on your RV.

All that said if you just had a 820BK on a shelf then you have a vast range of choices.

Take a look on eBay. I see several of these listed now and they are new, unused units.
