On the older kwikee steps [the one with the big steel gear and not the gearbox] the power window motor is from a 1986 to 1990 ford crown victoria, drivers door, from autozone. I just did it on my 2005 National Sea Breeze 8360. All I had to do was adapt the wiring with the included wiring plugs, and drill out the three mounting holes about 1/64 inch. Works great.

See my Rnicfingrp post of 8/24/2011 above. The Dorman 742-277 motor cost $48.00 and fit my Newmar Dutch Star DP perfectly. If you think that the "Window Regulator Gear Plugs" (p/n 74410) are the culprit, you can buy a set of three (3) from Autozone as well ($7.99). They are easy to install and just may fix your problem.
