Replacement tires effecting electronics?

The Federal Certification Tag for my 2003 Bounder calls for replace tires to be 245/70R 19.5--Front and rear tires to be LR F. My Bounder's Front GAWR is 3402 lbs. and the rear GAWR is 6123 lbs. I am considering replacement with 245/70R 19.5 LR H. Will the increase in LR and Max load cause trouble with on board electronics?

You have to be kidding me? How would different tires effect anything except load?

I think you are thinking odometer or similar. No.

It's the same size tire: so no on your odometer and other readings that may come from speed (like MPG) and heck no on any other electronics even if they were a different size.

OP must have a trip computer and is wondering it the tires will affect his mpg info. Some tires of the same size will be a half inch or so higher or lower. The design of the tire might allow a different amount of "growth" when on the freeway but I dont thing either variable will make enough difference to mess with the calculations.

Different tire sizes will cause speed to be off and odometer to record incorrectly. But I believe the sizes mentioned by the OP are very close and won't present this.

Do have a question though, are those GAWRs correct?

Since there will be no changes to the diameter, width, sidewall or circumference measurements of the tire by going with a different load range there will be no changes regarding distance or speed measurements.

Understand there is also no gain regarding the load capacity of the coach by switching to a higher load range tire. You will still limited in capacity based on the gross axle weight restriction (GAWR) and other physical capacities of the chassis as designed and built. You also have to consider that due to the stiffer sidewall associated with a high load range tire the ride may be a bit harsher.

That's what size and rating I have on my Damon Daybreak on a Ford F53 chassis and all is good. My rationale was that the additional load carrying capacity would not be as stressed as the original size tire while at the same inflation pressure, giving me more peace of mind. I did not drive my coach before the tires were installed but I have no complaints about ride quality with the Load Range H tires.

The only thing that would affect would be the odometer!

And if you want to get really picky, the odometer/speedometer will change as the tires wear...

On the contrary. Sweetbrair and Danib response were on target with my inquiry. This forum has been very helpful to all my previous posts. Thanks to all!

I would move up to G rated tires not H rated, it will ride to hard.

Also it wont change the speed odometer or anything else..
