Replacement windshield curtain...?

Hi Folks: Not a high priority, but since we decided to hang on to our rig for a while longer and we are investing $$$$$ into new leveling jacks, we would like to make a few aesthetic improvements too. The curtains that close in the windshield look horrible and feel "crispy". I looked around and only found replacements on the Camping World website for around $150. I am OK with that if they quality is good, but I am skeptical. Any other alternatives? I guess I could get some custom made, but not sure where to start. Would be keen to get some ideas. Thanks

Roller shades have become popular for the windshield and curtains for the side windows.

My wife went to Bed, Bath & Beyond and bought fabric shower curtains. Cut & sewed them to length & width. Added a complementary liner. Looks great & got rid of those awful accordion front windshield curtains.

Doc Vegas,

We just replaced our windshield shades. Ours are mounted on rollers. The wife went to Dollar General and bought 2 84 X 42 inch window curtains and one 54 X 42 inch curtain. The windshield on our MH has a 42 inch, dash to cabinet distance. We turned them sideways and put in 50 evenly spaced grommets at the top and bought some new roller hangers. Perfect fit with no sewing needed!

The total cost was $45 and nice looking curtains. These were light blocking material, white facing out and brown facing in.

So my nephew was in Sunni Sands in Yuma and there is a gal who winters there... she does lots of sewing when she's there... she did his class A and his dads 5er... my wife sews and looked at the work... and said it was first rate... he got exactly what he wanted... very happy and thought the rate was just fine.... I don't have a clue what her first name is... or how the time frame works... but after his recommendation I'd use her with no qualms...

Thanks All! We definitely will be upgrading as my wife can't take looking at these any longer. I will post up the results as they come in. Doc
