Replacing 12R22.5 Toyos with 315/80/22.5 Michelin XZR2 Energy tires

I going to replace all 8 tires on our 2005 Country Coach Allure. The Toyo tires that came on the coach are 12 R/ 22.5 . The rims are 8.25 wide. I was wanting to change to the Michelin XZA 2 Energy 315/80/22.5, but have had conflicting dealers telling me the 8.25 wide rim will not work with the 315/80 tires that I need to switch to a 22.5/9.0 rim. Anybody have some info that could help?

This might help:

The tire recommended for Motorhomes is XRV. The tire you mentioned is for trucks and that may be the reason for the larger rim requirement.

The 2015 Michelin RV Tire Brochure provides the rim sizes required for tire sizes. The 315/80/22.5 XZA2 Energy is listed in that brochure.
