Replacing Captain Chairs
I am going to replace the Captains Chairs in my Coach, it is a Monaco and has their brand. I have replaced seats in two other Class A's and have always used Flexsteel. Comfort is the priority. Has anyone found a brand or no name seats that are equal (or close) to Flexsteel in comfort? I am thinking no, but with the price of the Flexsteel vs some other imitators I thought I would ask just to see if someone has replaced seats and found some that are as easy on your back as the better Flexsteel seats?
If anyone has had any luck please list your source and the model of the seat. It looks like there are several on line suppliers that may be be selling the same no brand or rebranded seats.
Also, see some selling a back massage option, anyone tried on of those? And do they work?
Thanks!

Well if someone does reply they better have compared it to the flexsteel because there are some really crappy stock seats out there and any replacement could be an upgrade.

My coach came from the factory with Villa furniture. First thing I did was replace the captain chairs with Flexsteel. The Villa furniture was like sitting on concrete.
Next I replaced the couch for the same reason.
Obviously I'm a big Flexsteel fan....

Kind of what I thought, I have replaced 2 sets of non Flexsteel seats in 2 of the coaches I have owned that did not come with Flexsteel. Bradd and Hall has some Flexsteel base level imitation ultra leather on close out for $895 a pair. I like the model 267 seats and the recliner couches and guess I will just ante up as you have known quality vs unknown.

Just had one flex steel captains chair reupholstered. $190 for the leather....$500 for labor. Furniture reupholsterers ran from it. Found a lady who does lots of custom car work, no problem for her.

Our '97 Type C on Ford chassis came with their captains chairs, replaced them with Flexsteel.
Ever since then they've all had Flexsteel except for the Magna which has the Villa and they work just fine for us.

Can the seats be removed by removing the large nut in the center of the pedestal? I have a 97 Bounder and after removing the 4 - 1/2 inch nuts the seat is loose but still has the swivel cable attached. There is a large nut right in the center that may allow removal of seat with all cables intact.

On my Flexsteel's, the swivel cable just clips in place to the base. All the other cables are part f the chair itself and don't connect to the base
