Replacing carpet and tile in 2004 Monaco Winsor

We are preparing to replace our current flooring with a laminate wood flooring. My husband has been able to remove the entry tile fairly easily because Monaco had mounted it with tile adhesive to a 1/8th inch Masonite and then the Masonite was glued to the subfloor with a rubber type glue. But, when he attempted to remove the tile in the kitchen, it is attached directly to the subfloor. It also goes way under the kitchen slide out. Has anyone been able to remove and replace the flooring in this type of situation? We are very disappointed that we may not be able to do the renovation we want, and will only be able to replace the carpeted areas with the wood flooring. Did I mention that I hate cleaning grout.

Most all companies install the floor before everything that sits on top of it is installed. Rent a good tile cutter and carefully cut next to the cabinets then chip away at the floor until you have a good smooth base. If you need to, add a base molding quarter round at the bottom of the cabinets when completed. Unless you remove the base cabinets you will not be able to remove the tile under the cabinets.
