Replacing carpet and tile in 2004 Monaco Winsor
We are preparing to replace our current flooring with a laminate wood flooring. My husband has been able to remove the entry tile fairly easily because Monaco had mounted it with tile adhesive to a 1/8th inch Masonite and then the Masonite was glued to the subfloor with a rubber type glue. But, when he attempted to remove the tile in the kitchen, it is attached directly to the subfloor. It also goes way under the kitchen slide out. Has anyone been able to remove and replace the flooring in this type of situation? We are very disappointed that we may not be able to do the renovation we want, and will only be able to replace the carpeted areas with the wood flooring. Did I mention that I hate cleaning grout.
