Replacing front speakers

I tried to replace my front cabinet speakers in my surround sound system
I ended up getting ceiling and wall speakers that wouldn't even work
Any ideas to replace the front speakers they don't have to have a lot of bass that's what my roof speakers are doing

A few questions:

When you say the ceiling and wall speakers wouldn't work, do you mean they didn't sound good, or you couldn't get them to work at all?

Do you need new front speakers, or is it just that your current speakers have too much bass?

What home theater receiver do you have?

Does your home theater receiver have a setup (automatic or manual) feature that can control the equalization for each speaker? If so you should be able to reduce the bass to your liking.
Also, if the receiver has the ability to set the bass cutoff frequency for your front speakers, you can try setting that to a higher value which will reduce the amount of bass coming from your front speakers.

Do you have a subwoofer?

As a quick fix test, if the front speakers have ports in the back (holes that help extend the bass response) you can plug those holes with socks to see if that helps.

Might have to check the wiring I put in just some water proof polkaudio 4x6 and set of boom mates for under them in the dash .
Talk about nice sounding . Search boom mates in Amazon . Smaller speakers need backing otherwise you'll get a tinny effect.
