Replacing Old TV/ 2006 Coachmen

Making the TV upgrade: from the over the dash/tv box, to a smart TV. I've seen a few that made a cabinet out of the old box (added the door) and mounted the bracket to the cabinet..... just wondering about some ideas, what's worked well, and IF any pictures of the 'task' that's done..

I changed out the one it our old Itasca by bolting a 1x2x12" board on each side to the metal frame recessed back into the opening. I then screwed a piece of 3/4" plywood to the 1x boards on each side. The inside of the cabinet I lined with flat black automotive type carpet material from Home Depot. The mount is a locking cantilever mount from Camping World which lets you swing out for viewing angle or access behind the TV.

This is what we did. Maybe it will give you some ideas!

The head-banger is finally GONE!

If fit a Vizio 32" outside of the old cabinet. Solid mount since have plenty of room in the coach cabinets for stuff.

I did the same, added 32 inch Sony and got rid of that old brick that was in there. Did the same with the bedroom TV, removed the old one in the cabinet and mounted a flat screen.

Here's my install. I went from a CRT to a 32" Samsung. I want to thank the members here on irv2 for their ideas.

I did the exact same instillation as Lt Dan did. Makes it nice when I want to get behind the TV. I do not know how to post pictures.
