On my '06 Journey there was a button on the right side of the instrument cluster to push.

Somewhere on the instrument cluster there should be a toggle type switch. Press it and look at the cluster. If the little mileage display changed then you have the right switch. Press it and hold it to reset the trip odometer. If you continue to hold it it may change your display from miles to kilometers. That happened to me. Press it again and it will change back to miles. Good luck and seeya on the road. BTW, the ignition switch must be on and the instrument cluster powered for this to work..

I've attached the page from the FCCC manual that will give you the instructions with a illustration on how to reset the trip odometer (I'm assuming that you mean the trip odometer and not the main one as brianj mentioned) and for a 2002, it is the illustration on top.

If you need the entire chassis manual that this page came from, let me know and I'll arrange to get it to you.
