I have a sun force digital solar charger controller that controls charging from 2- 80 watt solar panel that supposably are charging 6- new 6 volt batteries.
After reading the manual that said that when your not hooked up to the batteries that the controller wouldn't allow power to pass through, so does anyone have an idea how to check if current actually is get to the battery because once you hook up the lines too the battery you get a feed back from the battery.

Put a diode in the charge line. When you measure the voltage on the charger side of the diode you will be seeing only the charger.
