Retro-fit door locks

My 2005 Airstream/Thor 396 XL has Tri Mark locks on the door and storage compartments. The door has one lock on the door and a deadbolt on the side. The dead bolt can be opened by key or from the remote key fob. All work now with the exception of one of my key fobs will not lock the deadbolt. I have read about problems with the older Tri Mark locks and if I do have problems down the line can new locks be retro-fitted to replace them. I know that is an open ended question but just checking to see what the options are. Thanks
