Heard a banging noise coming from the rear of the MH one trip and discovered the engine access was unlocked. Locked the latches and the noise went away. Now I keep them locked all of the time. To each his own.

This is the latch that I mentioned in my previous post to your question. This is the newer type of locking latch that some of the manufacturers are now using on the outside entertainment centers. I did a little quick Googling around, but didn't come up with any search terms that returned this specific lock. It looks just like yours, but a locking style. You may want to reach out to a manufacturer to see if they can give you a contact.

The junk in my compartments are not worth what the doors are. Then I can get newer stuff? Who's going to steal? My RV neighbors?
Biggest PITA is everytime I get into a compartment it's locked.
60 years nothing stolen.

i have a 2005 itasca meridian. the generator is located in the front. it has two latches, no locks. someone stole my dip stick and the cooling fluid cap off the generator. i now have a lock. just like the lock on the rear engine door.
good locks make good neighbors. and yes, there are people out there that will steal from you. we dont live in a perfect world, and we dont always park in safe places.

I never thought of that, good to know. I was only going to lock them when it was parked in the storage lot.
