Talking Rexall slide out issues

I just bought a Rexhall 32 foot Aerbus with two slides and we are the second owner. I am having trouble with the rear slide not extending but about a foot. There are no signs of a hydraulic leak and it does not appear to be binding up. I am able to retract the slide after starting it out. Any help would be Greatly Appreciated!!

Thanks, Rick

Hi DR Chambers,
I do not know Aerbus so this may or may not apply. Somewhere there is a pump that moves the fluid to move the slide. This pump may be 12 VDC powered. If this is true, consider obtaining a portable starting battery (any auto parts store) and connect 12 VDC to the pump connections. If the slide opens and retracts normally, the problem is upstream from the slide mechanism. There may be a slide controller that is at fault.

A caution. If you do this be very careful. You are bypassing all the safety features of the slide. Once connected, if the slide moves the wrong way, reverse the leads. When the slide is at full travel one must remove the power manually. The slide will continue to operate until power is removed.

Thank You Gary,
Pump appears to work fine as it also powers living room slide and jacks. I have been checking a few other leads and will post results when fixed..

Thanks Again, Rick

Hi Rick you might try moving the fluid back and forth by switching from in and out very fast in out about 6 times or so if there is something stuck in the valve it might bust it loose or if your valves have levers on the end you might flip the levers open and run the pump then close the the levers and hope it works mine Had small flakes off a pump that went bad that was floating around in the system it might be your issue Hope this helps
