REXHALL Aerbus Water Pump Issue

I have a 1995 Rexhall Aerbus XL3300 with a 460 engine.
The water pump is leaking, and I am getting opposing info on how drastic the changeout is.

2 Mechanics say the whole front area towrd the bumber, must be removed ... 2 day job.
Two say it should be replaceable though the doghouse removal.

Has anyone here had that same experience with that same unit?

Thanks ... Richard

I replaced , timing chain and gears, on a late 70's 460, in a class C. Next engine component behind the water pump.
Didn't have the bumper off, probably 1/2 hour re & re, but nothing I did would have been accessible with just the dog house off.

JMHO: The guys that say it can be done from the dog house, will be eating their words and wanting to change their labor quote.

The water pump is on the front of the engine, I see no advantage to removing doghouse to access that part of the engine. According to how much room you have between radiator fan shroud and engine should determine how much has to be removed to access pump for R/R. I'd take it to another shop and see what they say, two days and complete removal of front seems a little extreme.

I said BUMPER ... that was a mistake. I should have said the radiator and many other items in front of the engine compartment and behind the bumper area.
