RIP: 2005 Seabreeze Chassis Battery

Hi guys. I'm in need of a new chassis battery for a 2005 National Seabreeze. The old battery is a 12V, 850A/700CCA Everstart Maxx. Do I need something that powerful or can I get by with less than 700 CCA? Also, any recommended brands? Thanks in advance.

I recommend Interstate Batteries. They are quality, stand behind their warrantee, are located Nation wide. They will remove and install the batteries too.

Your battery is 10 years old. Sounds like it is properly sized so replace with same. Don't over think it, the engineers get it right sometimes. ;-)

When it comes to Cranking amps, I prefer to have a few extra that I might not need, as to have too few amps when I want it to start.

If you don't know how old the battery is take back to Walmart. Last year I replaced the Everstart Maxx in my MOHO, couldn't remember when I bought it or find the receipt. At Walmart they scanned the bar code said it still had a few months on the warranty. I got $25 credit toward the new battery.

There is probably 10 dollars difference in a 650 CCA battery and a 750 CCA battery. If you need to save money, the battery isn't the best place to do it. When it comes to batteries, too big is good, too small, not so good. JMHO

Costco now sells Interstate batteries and they have a 2 year free replacement policy before the pro rating even starts. Under 2 years no questions asked. Over 2 years is a pro rated system like most others.
