I had Good Sam ERS in the past and the times I had to use them I was very satisfied.

We have Coach Net now, but I have never had to use them in two years. But I have heard nothing but good reports about them also.

I too use Coach Net and have been quite pleased with their service. Used them twice with great results. The specialize in RV's and it is a sign and drive service.

Earlier this spring, DW hydroplaned off an Interstate and into a drainage-ditch. She called Coach-Net for help, and they politely told her they don't do accident-wrecker service.

HOWEVER, they DID get her the number for the nearest wrecker for her to call, and then they called back later to see how she was.

I still count that as 'two thumbs-up' service

Hi rbs62,
I just had to use my Good Sam Service for a flat tire on my motorhome and was completely satisfied. We were in Pismo Beach and I called the Good Sam Service and they sent out Wayne's Tire Service and they changed the flat and placed it back under the motorhome.
I have used the service at least 5 seperate times and have had good response from all of their service providers.
This is just for your info.

I've had Good Sam for 17 years. Only used them 3 times. Each time I was quite satisfied and sure glad I had someone to handle the problem. Blew a front tire in Mississippi once and 40 min. later was back on the road. I just sat in a lawn chair and the fellers did they job. Instead of losing the day it was a minor annoyance. I would not travel without ERS of some kind.

Has anyone dropped Good Sam and CoachNet and used only their insurance? I have Progessive and was going to drop CoachNet after my free year.

coolchas11,

You might want to check with Progressive to see if you have the same level of coverage with them before you drop Coach-Net. I too have towing insurance on my cars, but to use it on the motorhome it is limited, and no guarantee that the towing service is familiar with motorhomes. The car insurance is the reimbursenebt type, and coach net is "sign and drive" - a big advantage. I also used coach net in the past for one of the cars, and was able to get service when calling the services myself drew a blank.

Had Good Sam for a couple of years, never used them, Coach Net for the last three Motor Homes, used them several times, been hooked and hauled over 200 miles total, never any problems. Great follow up.

Coach Net....I've been towed three times with the new coach and with the exception of the idiots they sent this last time the service has been great.

Even though you use Coach Net,my experience is proof that Coach Net is just the "service arranger" and not the service provider.

They sent B and D Towing out of Madison,GA to pick me up near Atlanta and not only did the wrecker driver ruin the housing on my driveline by beating on it,he pulled my coach through a CLOSING electric gate.
Also,as a result of his driving, the generator door top edges and where the door meets the coach on both side was damaged as he obviously bounced the wrecker boom off the bottom of the coach.
I was following this idiot while he towed my coach at 80 miles per hour....I called Coach Net right back an filed a complaint while I was behind him.

Not meaning to take this off topic, just a note that, if the situation with the wrecker driver doesn't feel "right", DON'T let him take the coach.
This young man was ALL ABOUT attitude from the minute I met him and he ended up causing damage to my coach that I had to go to the factory to have repaired.

SEVENTEEN DAYS LATER.....I am back home.
