Road Warrior (Chinese tires)
Any one with experience with these tires?A friend of mine is looking to replace his 9 year old good year 245/70/19.5 with chinese road warriors.Trying to talk him out of them,but he just can't get over the price $190.00 ea. I can't find any reviews on these tires.From what i can find it looks like the bulk of their bussiness is in heavy equip.

not heard of road warrior, but your magic number $190 woke up my short memory of two days ago - at a roadside rest area an earth moving truck (building roads/bridges/hiways) parked next to me. the driver was talkative so when i noticed his tires with the size of 24.5r11 were "sinotire", needless to say it's chinese, i asked him about it. he owned the truck and cost was a real factor on everything. he couldn't justify paying $400+ apiece for a name brand while $190 does the same thing. he said he had used chinese tires for the past decade (a set would last for 2 years only) and no issues. i imagine if your friend is working in trucking industry, you would have a hard time to persuade him getting away from it.

One of the popular Chinese brands is Samson. Search this website for answers. I have Samson and am glad I do.

I would think it depends on if the people are round and inflatable. 
I am old enough to remember when "made in Japan" was synonymous with "cheap and will break soon". That is no longer the case.
Not too long ago, "Made in China" had the same burden. Not so much anymore. There are lots of good products being made there. BUT, there is still a lot of crap from there as well. You must still be wary. I would love to hear of an actual unbiased comparison.
Personally, I still would rather a "Made in USA" tag and have always been willing to pay a bit more for it, but there are limits to that as well these days.

Most trailer tires are STs made in China...and will not last. If the Road Warriors are truck tires and not STs maybe they'll be better, but I doubt it.

What does STs mean? It is likely a standard phrase I am unaware of, so I thank you in advance of the educational bit...

I agree - most of these china tires are CRAP.
Sailun is the brand I know that isn't crap. One way to tell is by weight. The Sailun weighed almost 100% more than the crappy OEM china tires that they replaced.

Had Samson for 3 years on my motorhome with no problems, ride smother than the Goodyears.

We had a VW Jetta that came with Hankook tires, made in China (the Koreans outsourcing to China?  )
Within a year one of the tires developed very bad sidewall cracking. I did not even consider warranty replacement. Installed a full set of Michellans. Not worth the risk.
No Chinese tires for me.

The dealer had installed Triangle tires on my current RV. I have had them for a year only, they handle fine and so far doing the job. I try to give a good visual inspection and air pressure check before & during each use. They are doing great so far. I would treat the Goodyear's or Michelin's the same. No complaints yet!
