Roadside Assistance Programs

Just wanted people's opinion on Roadside Assistance Programs. Currently looking at Good Sam's, Coach Net and FMCA. Seems the internet ranks Good Sam's one of the best. Any favorites out there? Thanks

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I really don't think there is a lot of difference in the three you mentioned! We have had Good Sam for 17 years with only a couple of unsatisfactory incidences, which I think you will have with any of them. I was thinking of changing to CoachNet this year but Good Sam gave me 3 1/2 years for $190 to stay with them. That's about $54 per year, and I couldn't pass that up! Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

We just made a Class A purchase last month and took the GoodSam package. We had a blowout on the interstate. Spare tire on board and roadside assistance had us back traveling in less than an hour. I am sure there are circumstances that could arise where problems could prevent repairs/help for several houirs, maybe even days.

Have you checked with your insurance company as most have an option for the service. Also since mine is on a Ford F53 chassis it came with five years RSS.

this is a very common topic...search the archives for all sorts of opinions. for most of us it boils down to Coach Net or Good Sam. some use AAA but it's not available in every state and it's run on you find your service/tow, make the arrangements and pay the bill and then submit and wait for reimbursement. we've had Good Sam for 31-yrs which should tell you something about how pleased we are. evaluate carefully for your situation and then decide.
