Roof air compressor won't shut off

My rear air compressor keeps running even though turned off while plugged into ac at rv park. I can only turn off by opening circ breaker.

Possible stuck control relay.
Didn't see you had 2 post going.
The thermostat is a 12v item and the A/C is 110, so there is a contol relay so the 12v can turn on the 110. What brand of A/C ? model ? Do you have the owners manual for them?

Does the airconditioner turn on immediately when you plug in to AC power ? If so, you have a stuck control relay I think. that is 12v powered.

First of all. Thanks for quick reply!
Everything works great now. I found my unit 12 v master switch not totally closed. Once fixed all is well. Boy this had me puzzled. Evidently I was getting poor or intermitant DC to the entire unit.

Glad you got the problem solved.

Last night as we were reading the title to the thread and the opening post, we were scratching our head as to why you had an air compressor located on the roof. Now we get it. We're a lot dumber than we look!

2000 Stormer,

If your ACs are Colemans, the thermostat is noted to lock up from RF interference, fluorecent lights are on of many sources. If that's the case, you need to reprogram the thermostat to get it out of the lock up. As long as it's locked up it will continue to operate at the locked up setting.
