Roof Coating

I am thinking about coating the fiberglass roof on my fleetwood revolution with one of the white elastomeric paints. Should I remove all the self leveling caulking first or just cover it with the new coating? Thanks for any advice.

In 2012 I redid the fiberglass roof on my then 16 year old Safari.

I thought it best to remove as much old caulking as possible and seal the front and rear roof to cap joints...(and around all of the roof penetrations) . with 4 inch wide Eternabond tape...before I applied 2 coats of SealBest white elastomeric roof paint.
