Maybe a heads up story to save damage to ones roof
We pulled into a Fl state park one evening and it looked like rain but we are used to that already being we have been in some bad storms,We backed in and noticed one big branch was a bit lower than most so I went up the roof ladder to check out the clearance,which was about 3 inches so I continued backing in,that night it pour cats & dogs and stormed big time but as morning came the sun shined and I did my usual walk around before I pull out,since I have a turbo muffler and don't hear well, we presume that when we pulled out of the campsite the tree was saturated with water and leaned against the roof,Of course not knowing this we proceeded to our next couple campsites without a worry in the world,We were running low on LP so I stopped at a CW and the fellow said I should consider doing something with the roof,When he showed me the 7 ft gash I almost sh-- in my drawers-$6300.oo later (insurance covered it),we learned a lesson and maybe it will help someone in the future

thank you for the heads up! We went thru a tornado in a cottonwood tree park in nebraska and totalled our rv along with 6 others.

I was at a state park in Delaware. A storm came up in the middle of the night, A 8" diameter tree branch fell and took out my extended awning. Shook the RV and through me out of my bed at 01:30 am. Bent the roller tube, and ripped the brackets off the RV, bent both arms. $900 for a new awning. I was actually lucky, if it it had been 2 feet over it would have gone through the roof of the RV.
