Rubber roof recoat

I think this spring I will need to recoat my rubber roof. Can anyone recommend a product to apply to the roof to renew it? Possibly something that you just roll on like paint? Basically the roof is ugly and it's more black than white. Thanks in advance!

I bought a couple gallons of Roof Mate Top Coat from Home Depot. Not expensive, rolls on easy, basically just thick latex paint, but with move UV resistance. This was one ugly roof, especially after removing six solar panels. Wish I took a “before” pic. This took about 1 hour per coat, 2 coats. If I was keeping it, I probably would have out on a third coat.

Kool Seal. Been using it on my AZ homes since 1987 with good results. It's a highly solar reflective elastomeric coating.

We re-coated a Discovery rubber roof using Dicor's two step process (white). Worked great.

You can check out our step-by-step process here.

Used Dicor roof coating. Goes on with a brush and roller and the roof looks new again. They have a new enhanced silicone coating. Dicor products are made for RVs.

X3 I used Dicor CoolCoat. I laid down three coats, the recommended quantity needed far exceeded what I actually used. They didn't make the Extended Life version when I did it.

The After picture was not as good as I would have liked due to the shadow of the tree branches.

I used EPDM Coatings Liquid roof. It comes in two parts so you will need a mixer for your drill. I rolled it on with a long paint roller. I applied two coats and after almost 10 years it still looks great.

X2

Liquid Roof is more than a coating. It actually bonds like a weld and becomes part of the original EPDM. As with all coatings, it's all in the preparation. I was very pleased with the product.

I used this product on the rubber roof of my '96 Allegro Bus. Prior to applying the product we had no bubbles on the roof. I applied the product per instructions and left it to dry overnight. The next morning I climbed up onto the roof and I had bubbles appearing in numerous areas. The notes on their website did say that in some cases this could happen. We used the coach for 5 more years, but last summer when traveling in windy Wyoming and Montana the constant fluttering of the loose bubbles about drove us crazy. It was impossible to carry on a conversation at 60mph. This was a major factor in us selling the old rig and getting a newer one.
