Hobie makes a really nice one man kayak designed just for fishing. It has the pedal drive system which can let you sneak up on the fish!

check out the Sea Eagle motormount boat. They also have other styles that look like the zodiac type but the cost is much higher and the size may be such that it takes more basement storage. I tried to get on the Sea Eagle website but apparently it is still down - last night and this morning.

I found an add on Amazon and the link is: http://www.amazon.com/Sea-Eagle-Infl...ords=sea+eagle

You might want to check out the ORU kayak. It folds completely flat into a small rectangle (you can store it in a closet or RV basement quite easily), yet it is quite sturdy when set up.

I have used both a Saturn SD365 12 foot inflatable (from BoatsToGo) and a Portabote. The Saturn is a great boat at a great price, and it can take up to a 30hp outboard. The only problem s it is kind of heavy for one person to handle by themselves, and the 15 hp outboard I had was a handful. I sold the boat last summer, and will sell the 15 hp Yamaha 2 stroke this summer.

The Portabote is good for putting around, but not cruising like a normal boat. I had a 12 footer I used with a 6 hp, and I just bought an 8 footer I plan on using with my 3 1/2 hp Tohatsu 2 stroke.

We bought the Mariner 4 package without electric motor, A friend of mine sold me a 4 hp johnson outboard. the price was right for motor $125.00, All I need now is to register the boat shouldn't be a problem. The boat came with all the paper work. Happy new year......

Funny how this topic came up just when I'm thinking of selling my 9'6" Zodiac roll up with a wood floor. Six hp. 2cyl motor with a external fuel tank. It's heavy takes up a lot of room not sure if I want to keep it or not?

Just a note that a number of really small lakes at campsites allow only electric motors. The batteries can be a pain to deal with, but you can use them with your RV also in many cases.
