I still keep tabs on what's for sale out there in the type of MH I bought. I found that you will find these guys popping up about once or twice a week. They always will not be around so you can look at the rig. They generally want you to use paypa and the price is stupid cheap. Best rule of thumb is
"If is sounds too good to be true.....IT"S NOT." I still screw with them and try and set up a meet and almost had one but his mother died right before we had it set up.

I wouldn't touch any unit that wasn't within arms reach. Just too many units are fraudently represented or just a out and out fraud.

I have been shopping for a used motor home. About two weeks ago I found a 2004 Monaco Signature in Amarillo (or so he said) for $115k. Ad was on RV Trader. I called and left a message. He called back and said the engine had overheating problems, but now it was fixed. He said they would not let him increase the price and he needed the cash for his furniture business. I asked for more pictures. My wife noticed when looking at the pictures that one of the entry pictures was identical to a Signature that was on ebay a few months earlier (even had keys laying in the same spot). Sure enough, he had copied the pictures and used them for a false add. I turned him into RV Trader and also filed a police report. Two weeks later he ran the same add and we turned him in again.
