RV extended service ontract

Hi Again,
I found a 2007 Winnebago Adventurer with a Chevy platform real clean rig.
I figured I would purchase a extended service contract for a year or two. Which company is better Wholesale Warranty or Good Sam?

Thanks,
Greg

Wholesale warranty is a broker that represents a few companies. Good Sam is a company.

I bought an extended warranty from Cornerstone. Glad I did. It has saved me about $10k. Cost was $4k, so I'm roughly $6k ahead of the game. It is a gamble. Some people buy them and never need them. Then there are people like me who are darn glad they took the bet.

Dealer started at $19k, said no way, went to 14k, no way, went to 9k and 1 more year, no way... Saving up for rainy day... Never have used ext. warranty even 1 time. I fix things BEFORE they get out of hand.

Rv Ins.

The best company is Cornerstone by far. I have had several problems and may be a loss to them. They keep working, no question asked. I have heard complaints about Sam's.
You can get a motorhome only with a low deduct. Like $50.00. I did and what a savings.

At 19k were they giving you 19 years? That is a hugely overpriced offer and my trust in that dealer would have left with me, out the door.

Heaven forbid your roof needs to be replaced not fixed but replace because of premature aging ie cracking, peeling etc.....while you may be able to replace that yourself, it's going to cost you....insurance is a gamble....but don't think you can stay ahead of everything.

You're going to have those who tell you it's a waste of money. Everybody has their own opinion. You need to decide for yourself if it's worth it. I purchased mine with Protrek through Wholesale Warranty. After much research on various forums, I found the general consensus was they were the best and Good Sam was worthless. The fact that my coach was a nine year old DP played heavily into the decision. I paid $4400.00 for 48 months or 48000 miles. Less than a year into it, it's paying for a rebuilt transmission at a cost of six grand. I'm happy with the decision.

We bought an ESC when we purchased our MH. The contract is expensive, $4,800 for 3 years. To date it has paid out just over $4,000, and the contract has a year remaining.
If you buy one, include the gaskets and seals rider. Otherwise, if a transmission or engine seal fails and leaks out the oil, and causes the engine or tranny to fail, you are out of luck.

Actually my GS, extended service contract has the name of the company and phone# included, and it is not Good Sam/Infinity. Good Sam is a middleman only. Only a few such companies sell directly to the public.

Bought a warranty on my truck and have not used it, but the MH is a different thing, bought Good Sam and have no complaints. Have replaced both AC, Rear Camera, magnum system, bose system, hurricane heater, and numerous other items over the last 6 years. Unit was ten yrs old when purchased and been paying $135 per month with $500 deductible but I have had numerous items fixed at the same time with one deductible. So far I am ahead of the game.````
