RV fridge conversion

I am planning on doing the fridge conversion from 2 fuel to electric compressor only, that’s offered by JC Refrigeration. Has any one done this and were you satisfied with the cooling capabilities of the conversion. I like the idea of a retrofit instead of putting a 10 cuft residential in. My current fridge is a NDR 1062 which is a 10 cuft fridge. Thanks in advance

We converted our 04 Dutch Star’s 2 way to a residential 10 cu ft Frigidaire with minimal conversion needed. It looked and worked great. It was the same size essentially for the hole. You do have to seal up the upper vent with insulation (we used that solid pink stuff). Our inverter was not whole house so we had to add an outlet to it. We sealed up the gas line. The other thing we did was remove the insulation on each side of the wall to give the res fridge proper ventilation. Whatever fridge you buy you need to be sure you will have the clearance required. We used the same fridge that Newmar recommended as the right conversion for our coach. We secured the fridge to the frame front and back as well and put finish framing all around.

I have no personal experience, but I recently watched a video of an owner installing the compressor cooling system. It looks like a fairly simple job.

That's not what he asked for.

Arkansas, you can do a search for it or go over to the appliances forum and you should be able to find some threads on it.
