RV Inspector Eastern Kentucky?

Hey Everyone

I'm looking pretty close at a motorhome sitting on a lot in Eastern KY.

Anyone ever deal with an independent inspector to assist in buying site unseen?

I've googled but come up with nothing.....

Thanks!

I don't know where you are located; however, I might attempt to ask someone who works as an RV tech. at one of the RV dealership. Some of these guys will do an inspection "on the side" to earn extra money. If it is a diesel, you might want to have a diesel mechanic examine that aspect of the coach. You are on the right track by having an inspection done before purchase. Also, some individual RV owners are very knowledgeable when it comes to knowing what to look for - you might want to seek someone who is an RVer in your area to assist. Good luck!

Great points Bronk.

I'm actually in Canada.....and trying to buy in KY and have it delivered to Florida....how's that for a mess?

I'd be comfortable to inspect myself both house and chassis but alas getting to KY is cost prohibitive for me at this point.

With the concentration of dealers in Eastern KY I figured this may have opened the door for someone independent especially considering all the dealers appear to be family

I hope you are not looking at anything on any lot in the Corbin, KY area that has anything to do with the name.....well I won't say it, but I will say it is not night.

Some of your larger semi type truck garages work on motor homes. Just a thought!

The dealer you are referring to has been closed down. The owner was indicted on criminal charges. There is still 2/3 good dealers located around the area. One bad apple.

He is still selling coaches at his brother's lot.....or at least there are coaches advertised as him being the seller (at lesat not long ago). I would be interested to see any news articles or anything stating he was arrested. PM is certainly fine as no need to put it in public.
