As I stated earlier, my Progressive went UP to $2,261.00 so I went on the hunt and found Allied for $687.00 which is a savings of $1574.00 ....

I am shopping, I just got an quote from progressive for fulltime coverage. $765 per year. I had them 2 years ago and dropped them because they upped my part-time coverage to $1100! Sooooo I figure I'll use them this year, and switch again next year.

In my opinion Progressive is not to be trusted. They will screw with you and do everything they can think of to pay none or little of the claim. We left them and went to Good Sam's and saved money and have much better coverage. I don't say this lightly and seldom slam a company on any forum but I make exceptions for Progressive. A truly awful company.

I'm with geico..my allegro is $310 per year! They don't offer full replacement value option unless the RV is new.
Just got a quote from National via Good Sam offer letter and for same exact coverage, plus full replacement costs $675 per year.
I called Geico to make sure they had my quote correct. They do.
Some of they quotes here seem excessive so I thought I must be missing something..

I'm a newbie but just compared RV insurance from my existing Auto/home/umbrella insurer (Travellers) which is, in total, hundreds of $ cheaper / year than anything else I've found (or my broker found). Anyway, compared Traveller's, Progressive, Good Sam's with exactly the same coverage and they were in the $1500-1800 range (have clean record) and then Joined FMCA and their policy came in at $904 with Full coverage (500CSL, $500Ded, windshield coverage etc etc). Policy is through Allied (Nationwide). I'm not a full-timer which may have affected the policy.

Repeat...$310 per year with Geico after 4 years. $1000 deductible. Full coverage. No windshield coverage but chip repair is free and not subject to deductible. Not full time.

Rkh, I suspect your low rate is most likely due to having no windshield coverage, which may bite you later on. W/S's are not cheap and their replacement is not uncommon among us RVers, unfortunately.

This posting is welcome as I just received my 6 month statement on my Natl General policy. Went from $437/6 mo. to 561/6 mo. which is something like a 28% bump. Seems excessive and I will have a discussion with them on Monday as I've had no claims with them.

Windshield coverage was less than $100 per yr.. You need to call Geico.. There is no need for loyalty to Ins. companies..

I most definitely will check with Geico before sending any checks. I agree with the loyalty thing. I've been with SF for 35 yrs on our autos and house, but haven't found anyone else that would make it worth our while to change. But SF is lousy for RV's.

If you drive your car a whole lot more than your motorhome (and most of us do) the likelihood of having an accident with the car is much higher than the motorhome but if both vehicles are on the same policy your insurance on the motorhome will go way up also.

Just got a quote from 21st Century. On 3 vehicles, saved over $1100/year vs Geico. About $400 was the RV.
I've been with Geico over 20 years.

Dealt with Jeff Renzi.
