Not recently. I've found GMAC to be about the best around

I just had a fire that originated in my tow vehicle that ultimately started my coach on fire as I couldn't get unhooked quickly enough. Progressive was very good once they realized it wasn't arson. I had an agreed value policy on a 1999 that I purchased in 2001 and they paid the agreed value on the policy. One note, if you use transmission lube pump, brake system, tow bar, and base plate on your tow vehicle, Safeco refused to pay for these items under my auto policy since they weren't scheduled.

A good friend lost his 5th wheel to a microburst wind that flipped the 5th on its side. His coverage with AARP/Hartford paid in full, and he actually made $350 from it. We too have AARP/Hartford and have found them to be excellent.

They gave me the highest rate for the MH of anyone. They wanted to insure it based on new price even tho I paid less than half for it in 2006. They refused to insure it for what I paid. I now have GMAC thru FMCA and find their rate very competitive and they will allow me to drop the collision when parked for several months.

Apparently everyone's situation is different. We got the lowest rate from AARP/The Hartford - over 30 percent llower -than any other RV insurance carrier, when compared line-by-line for coverage, based upon the exact purchase price in Jan 2012. It pays to do your research.
