RV Insurance in Massachusetts??

Good Evening All,

I am getting ready for the delivery of our new to us Revolution in a couple of days and I am researching road service companies (think I will go with Coach-Net), Extended Warranties no decision on that subkcet yet), and RV Insurance. The insurance is difficult in Massachusetts because there are so few companies that underwrite in this state. Does anyone have any suggestions for a company that will insure in Massachusetts?

Thank you in advance for any and all suggestions.

Faith...

It's been a few years since we lived in Taxachusetts I mean Massachusetts but when we did we had GEICO insurance. You might want to try GMAC Ins through Good Sam.

Save your money on the extended warranty. Most everything will have a factory warranty for at least the first year. If you think you need an extended warranty purchase it then.

Coachnet seems to be the most popular roadside ERS followed by Good Sam.

Good Luck,
Jon

I have Travelers Ins paying 780 on 8 year coach gas. Thats not to say when new was close to 1800.
Its not so much the insurance its the sales tax, excise tax thats going to hit you when you register and it stays up for a few years.
Liberty Mutual is a good one if a good driving record.

Faith, don't know about today; but, when we left in '03 one of the downsides to insurance in MA was no one would insure on a replacement value basis which is what we wanted. You can get beat up pretty bad if you have a total job and only have actual cash value insurance. Rememember RVs depreciate a whole lot faster than autos and if you have ACV and the rig is totalled the bank will still want the owed balance and you could be on the hook for a sizeable piece of change. Thanks for reminding me of one of the many financial reasons we left MA, Ken...

Citizens Ins. Co., a company of the Hanover Group.
We haven't had to use it at all, but have had it for both our rigs.

I'm insured through Commerce which covers the vehicle component only, nothing on the house side of things. Really, really lousy choice's for us!

I went on a crusade to find RV insurance and found out you cannot get it in Ma. If you go to any ins .company that advertises RV ins. and you type in Ma. they tell you sorry we can't offer it. I have Arbella and was told the outside is covered just like a car but claims for the house stuff inside has to go thru your homeowners policy.
