Any suggestions on how to keep the white residue from the roof from running down the windshield and sides of the motorhome.

If the roof is fiberglass, Mop N Glow will virtually eliminate the problem.

Many people wax their fiberglass roofs to keep them from oxidizing, thats what you see running down the side, oxidation. I do, but I heard recently about this Mop and Glow routine and will do it the next time I use my MH. It sound so easy by comparison.

The white residue is oxidation from sun rain and time. Not sure what to tell you if your roof is fiberglass except maybe a marine grade wax but if your roof is a rubber membrane then you need to clean it with a roof cleaner and treat it with a roof treatment that is similar to the Armor All that you use on car interiors. Both are available at any RV dealer. I treat my roof at least once a year, plus it will make the rubber membrane roof more pliable and less likely to tear or split. A low limb about the size of my thumb gave me a 5grand lesson two years ago. The roof treatment is silicone based so it is slicker than ice so be very careful if you get on the roof to apply it. I borrow a friends scaffolding and use a cheap sponge mop to apply, I can apply 8 ft from the scaffold then con somebody to pull up 8 ft until it's all covered.
