RV screen door hinge repair advise

So the lower screen door hinge has sheared off on our Coachmen Mirada The door is manufactured by Dexter.

Any thoughts on repair or replacement?
Iím not sure that I can put a bracket on this and have any room for bolt heads for the door to close without it binding. And Iím unsure if you can weld this back together.

If you have to replace the hinge, has anyone gone through that process and how do you remove the pin that holds the whole door assembly together?

Thank you for your advise!

Looks like aluminum and if it is, maybe a trip to a shop that welds aluminum. Hinge pins are usually mushroomed on the ends to keep them in place and would be very hard to remove but you could pull the door and frame as a unit to take to a weld shop.

Combine two answers...It appears to overlap the storm door box frame. You could rough up finishes JB weld plus use counter sink rivets into box frame. Rivets swell would enough clearance in frame. The JB weld would help isolate shifting and fill voids ....I would use regular rivets if there is enough clearance.
If welding drill some holes in hinge spot weld through those as well.

I'm sorry now that I see last pic ..it won't do what thought. Get some thin alum angle. Remove broke piece from door overlap hinge with angle pop rivet to best side for clearance of shortest rivets to get good bite on back. You can hammer the back of rivets some back up other side another hammer..
If I got it welded I would angle if I had the clearance

a piece of light angle should do it, use the screw holes on one side and pop rivet or weld to other side. Welder with a TIG should be able to do a nice job in place.

I see the small retainer over edge I would leave it if backing it up with angle. A lot of welders and shops don't do aluminium. A person that good with a spoolmatic gun .AKA mig gun....awning fabrication shops use these a lot. Could stitch that up nicely. In like 15 min. Total.
