RV Show Info

Has anyone been to one of the Good Sam sponsored (GS Events) RV shows? The first one of the season is in Conyers, GA this week and I was wondering how big the show will be. I know that Hershey is the granddaddy of RV shows but I can't make that one. If someone has been in the past, I'd appreciate your perceptions. Thanks

Don't know about the one in Georgia but I been to two different GS Events one in Atlantic City, NJ and the other in Edison, NJ. Both were similarly ran and for space about the same but the one in AC had less manufacturers represented and the one in Edison had more dealers with a bigger variety. Also the one in AC seemed to be 80% towables vs motorhomes. You really need to talk to someone who visited the show you are planning to go to and has been there this time of the year. The AC show is twice a year and the winter and spring shows are somewhat different in makeup of units and enthusiasm of the dealers.

What served us better than going to rv shows was visiting a super dealer. I had a work conference in Orlando when I was looking for my rv and we rented a car and visited Lazy Days, in Tampa. Explained to the sales person that we were still looking and what direction we were leaning and were shown several different manufacturers with similar floor plans and actually shown the differences in construction, etc. That helped us more in formulating a decision than the four times we visited the closest RV shows. I wouldn't have a problem purchasing that far from home if the price is right but I have a local dealer that is a volume dealer and got a good price.

Wife and I went to one a few years back. The show was decent, but was more geared towards tow-ables vice u drives. We enjoyed it anyways and bought several items via vendors anyways. They seem to vary from place to place and who/what they display. Hopefully it meets your needs.Best of luck.

The Tampa Super Show in Dec. far out paces Hershey. I've been to both and you need two days to see it all in Tampa, plus when you buy a pass they give you a second day free.
