RV Tire Covers

Hello,
Wondering on reviews people have for the Tire covers. Looking into getting some for storage, and when we she is sitting. Any special kind, or brand that is the best for weather wear. We are in Minnesota so the weather can be brutal.

Thanks!

This is what I bought. Very easy to snap on or off. No bunge cords to mess with. Absolutely no heartburn using them.

We're in VT so our winters are pretty cold also. I use the ones that you can buy from Camping a World or Amazon. I've never bothered to connect the bungee cord at all. We have some pretty stiff winter winds and have not lost one yet and our bus sits outside all winter L O N G !!!

Welcome to IRV2. Great people here.

I cover mine just to put my mind as ease but in all reality it doesn't really help. Your inner dual which never sees the sun basically will crack also.

Use them all the time on the FL coast parks to keep salt laden dew off Alu wheels. Keeps them lotts cleaner then without.

I made some from windshield reflective sunscreens..... thinking they will actually reflect the heat away as well as block the UV light? Ever reach under your covers that are sitting in the sun? gotta be 150 degrees in there!

Tire covers

I just pulled my trailer out of storage, and decided it was the last year for the adco tire covers I had. Served me well for about 5 years. Now wondering whether to replace them or not. I really do think they help keep the tires looking good, and help from the beating sun. I've heard about covers that are actually just flaps. Are those any good? What about wind or storms? Do they stay put? My trailer is stored outside, not at my residence, and can sit idle for a couple of months at a time. Any thoughts?

DW made ours and work just fine. Keeps the FL sun off the tires and have not come off even in some 60 mph winds.

Mine are the Snap On tire covers by CoverCraft. They have a metal ring sewn into the back so they slip over and snap into place behind the tire. Very easy to install and remove. Plus no bungee cords to deal with.

I also have the snap ring tire covers and LOVE them. Takes me about 2 minutes to cover all 6 outside tires. Never have to get on my knees and try to fish that nylon strap around the back side of the tires !!!!

Depends how old you are, crawling around can be tough. Not to mention messy sometimes.
