Hi jay317,
Just curious, why are you considering a different size tire. Is there a problem you are trying to solve?

We all know that RV tires "wear out" based on time
OTR trucks tear up a set in 12 months so if you could get a set of these and have them regrooved I guess you have a cheap set of shoes with still 5 years "life" in them.
I personally can't fault this plan.
Safety is not compromised and should be less than $200 each
( waiting to be flamed)

I think some may have misread what the op wrote. I read as the size used on his motor home.

The OP wrote: "No just having a hard time finding my size used".

That could mean exactly what it says, which is "MY SIZE USED".

OR it could be "misread", (aka: "interpreted", or figured out), to mean, "my size used on my motor home".
If you read it that way you are in the minority. (who talks that way?... in what language?)?

Since the OP has not corrected or explained his obtuse statement, he apparently doesn't care if 90% of the people that are trying to help him don't know what he is talking about.

if the man was looking for "used" tires wouldn't his comment be

"my size, used"?

I read his comment as the size used on his vehicle....but I've been wrong in the past

Since we have no idea what he meant, neither you or I can say what he SHOULD HAVE written!

I would expect that most truck fleets get as much out of their tires as possible, so they would already be regrooved before they were disposed of. They are, after all, looking for ANY way to maximize profit and spending a lot of money on new tires before absolutely necessary would not be in their best interest.

But then I'm not a fleet owner so what the H do I know!

I have 100 trucks and 130 trailers. Also own a tire business.
There are many tires that aren't worth putting back on a rim for high mileage use
These generally are just dumped. It costs us $13 to dump a tire here in Australia so would prefer to sell it.

8R19.5 is a standard size tire available from all the major and some minor manufacturers, so getting NEW does not seem to be a problem. Why the question?
