RV Travel Assistance Memberships

What's the best one to join or have to offer, e.g., Good Sam vs AAA?

Check out FMCA Travel Assist Program. It's a free benefit for FMCA members.

I have Good Sam. Thinking of switching to FMCA just because I am a member and trust them. FMCA just introduced a new company to provide roadside assistance. FMCA also have a free travel assistance program. Note the terms used...roadside assistance versus travel assistance. If you are looking for emergency medical airlift, etc, then you are looking at travel assistance programs. If you want info on roadside assistance, then AAA, Good Sam and FMCA all offer products.

Coach-Net is the premier roadside assistance program for RVs.

Travel Assist is something different, though. With AAA, it's help with trip planning, maps, reservations, etc. With GS, it is medical evacuation and related help.

Send a message via ICQ to Fred and Bonnie
I view "Travel Assist" as Insurance, that why we carry it.

I don't think AAA covers RVs.

AAA has a RV travel assist program. When I looked at them, the issue was that the program was not offered in every state. In one state you could get roadside assistance, but if you broke down in the "wrong state", no assistance was available.

I just renewed our Coachnet and they now include travel assistance and vehicle transportation back home if you have a medical issue and can't drive if you are more than 100 miles from home as well as several other new services.

We used to have AAA until we discovered they do NOT have coverage in many areas of the country for RV's.
