RVwarrantyforever

Does anyone have this type of warranty? It is being included with a new motorhome purchase. Has anyone actually USED it? Did it pay for covered parts and labor. Here is the web site RV Warranty Foreverâ„¢ - Home

Very few things are forever and I don't think an RV Warranty is one of them. IMO

The only thing I know of that's last forever, is taxes.

The info does not mention coverage of the really expensive things like the engine, transmission, radiator etc.

Hi waynesc,
This is for real. It has been talked about for the last year or two in the industry publications.
1. A dealer must carry the product. They need to sign up with the company ($s) and pay a fee for every eligible RV they sell ($s).
2. Like all policies, one needs to read the details and comply with the T/Cs.
3. Routine maintenance according to the policy or manufacturer's requirements, done by a professional, can cost quite a bit of $s.
4. The price of the contract is included in the sales price of the RV.
5. The owner is required to retain all receipts and proof of work done, for as long as they own the unit.

The dealer said the yearly maintenance cost is around $100. If anything is need of repair it would be covered with no deductible. It does not cover the chassis or the truck parts but most things in the coach are covered.

Hi waynesc,
The sentence quoting you what annual maintenance should cost should have started with "Once upon a time". With tech labor rates above $100/hour it is very difficult to get out of a dealership for less than $1K. Consider going to the service department and speaking with a service writer of service manager. Make a page of the appliances annual maintenance needing to be completed. Have them provide a "gut feel" price like you are a customer with a coach to service. Don't let the sales side of the dealer know about your visit. Your eyes will be opened.

I agree with GaryKD, depending on the "Bells and Whistles" installed on the unit your annual costs could be considerable. While the warranty sounds good, it's a good way to keep you attached to the dealership for everything.

The warranty is good nation wide but must use an authorized tech service. After getting the coach home I was going to call some in my area to see what they charge. The warranty is included so we are not paying "extra" for it.

Is this a gas or diesel coach. $100 for a service, my oil cost more than that then I need a filter.

I find it interesting that there is nothing on their website to indicate any prices? That doesn't usually indicate a bargain when you get the bill. Like others here, I am very skeptical, but would look at more information if they were to post it.

I checked with my unicorn and he says "No such thing as a forever warranty". I believe him....

I submit that you did indeed pay extra for it -- the dealer you purchased from built profit on it into the price of your coach.

I'm sure he did but I did not factor that into the negotiations.
