Heading east to Yuma on the 7th and from a distance thought it was a truck on fire.

Owner got out with just his briefcase.

If the fridge (Nocold] is on the drivers side which it looks like, that could be the fire problem.

How high is the hill it's on and how far away and down that hill is the firetruck or other source of fluid being "used" on the fire? The hose leads somewhere.

Driver was on the phone when I got there, but first person on the scene siad the driver told her the front TV came on by itself and he just had time to pull off and get out.

Fridge vent is on passenger side and in the movie, at first there is no sign of smoke or flame other than in the first few feet of the MH

It looked like fridge vent but wasn't sure and by second pic it was gone. Must have been fast. My comment about the hill and truck - just looks so pointless - like a garden hose on a forest fire....

It is a normal highway exit with overpass. Fire truck took ages to get there and is parked just out of picture about 50' from the MH

32.71052, -115.09089 - junction of I8 and 98 exit 143

The only point of putting it out at that stage was to avoid the propane tank blowing off - and to reduce the holdup for the long line of traffic on 98

38 minutes from when we arrived until the fire was put out

When my Discovery was ablaze in our driveway and I was on the phone to the fire department, my neighbor tried to grab the garden hose and run toward the coach. Now that garden hose spraying out a stream of water about the size of you thumb on a fire that was shooting 20 feet in the air and encompassed about 30 feet of the 37 foot coach. About the time he started to drag the hose, the front tire exploded sending burning hot rubber far enough it hit the house 65 feet away just missing the neighbor! Then the propane tank vented. Boy that was something to see. A flame like a blow torch shot out about 25 feet scorching everything in its path.

Neighbor suddenly had a need to go home.

A good reminder to go and check whether ALL occupants of your motorhome can at least open the bedroom emergency egress window.

This accident is a poster for fire extinguishers being close at hand and of a size that
has meaning.
One does not have time to go looking or getting one from some remote storage place.
