Safari 2000, bed slide will not move out

Leaving camp ground all slide (2) total closed normal. Got home and went to move slides out, the bedroom slide did not move. Checked all breakers all OK. Not sure if the slides have 2 motors,,, one for out and 1 for in? Any help is appreciated,

Thanks, Zingara 3

Slideout mechanism has one motor. You will have to see if you are getting power to the motor when someone pushes the button to extend. If not a switch, controller or wiring is bad. You could reverse the way the motor is wired and push the retract button and it should extend if the motor is good.
Find out what brand of system you have and let us know.

Is the key in the correct position?

Mike, the bed slide does not have a key to isolate only the one large slide forward which works. The bed slide when I push the OUT switch nothing happens, no sound or anything. When I push the IN switch I hear the motor start up. If for a fact there is only one motor then maybe it is hitting a flat spot to open or a bad switch. I do not know what type of slide this is, but it is on a Class A RV 2000 Safari, Zanzibar model made by Newmar. Will let you know what I find today, thanks. Zingara3

I meant the ignition key. Our MH is HWH hydraulic and each slide (and the jacks) have their own rules for ignition key position....ON, off, or Accessory.

It's much easier on the MH to have the engine running or shore power when operating the slides. Also, your MH might have interlocks on the cargo hatches, which prevents the slide from operating if the door isn't fully closed.

This is a chain driven system 12V motor. I have checked the in out switch and it seems fine, I can reverse the leads at motor and it comes in and out sometimes. there seems to be a flat spot in the motor and have to tap it with a hammer to get it running. The switch only works in the in position. can not find a relay box if there is one. Not sure what to do at this point, any help is appreciated or suggestions.
